Parkway Middle School is a comprehensive community middle school for nearly five hundred boys and girls ages from nine to thirteen. Situated in large, open playing-field grounds, the school is of a modern design, virtually all on one level, and has the full range of facilities expected of a school that bridges the transition between primary and secondary phases. These include a large gymnasium, science laboratories, modern foreign language room, library, extensive computer facilities, separate art, food and technology workshops, a music room and a drama studio. In addition, every form as its own class base room and year group area.

Parkway has a full complement of experienced and well-qualified teachers as well as the extremely effective support from the range of office, technical and learning support staff. Together with the Head Teacher and the management team, our Governors and an active Parent Teacher Association, all the adults in the school see their role as ensuring the right school atmosphere: one that is enjoyable and rewarding, challenging and supportive. We want each child to develop his or her abilities in a stable, happy environment in order to meet the future challenges of the next school and the world beyond it.

Our school has been entrusted with the care and education of children from Haverhill and nearby villages for nearly 30 years and we are proud of our achievements and of the caring and friendly atmosphere for which the school is highly regarded.

Parkway has enjoyed considerable success and popularity and we feel that the strengths of the school stem from the combined effort and dedication of our staff, governors, parents, and, of course, children who all work together to create a positive environment that provides a broad, stimulating education while never forgetting the many and varied needs of each pupil.
